If you are passionate about choral music and looking for a challenging, satisfying choral experience, we would love to hear from you!

Auditions for the 2018-2019 season will be held on Tuesday evening, August 7, and Saturday morning/afternoon, August 11.

We will begin scheduling August audition appointments in late June; if you would like to be notified when sign-ups become available, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We will contact you this summer with our 2018-2019 rehearsal schedule, more information about the group, and a link to the audition sign-up form.

Prospective choir members need not be professional musicians, but singers should possess an excellent choral “skill-set,” including good music-reading skills, nuanced phrasing, and precise intonation. Atlanta Master Chorale sings with a warm, tension-free tone, often without vibrato. Though our members come from different walks of life and have a wide variety of vocations, many are highly experienced singers and may be featured as soloists within the group.

Prospective members are encouraged to listen to excerpts of Atlanta Master Chorale in performance, which can be found on our YouTube channel: Click Here.

At your audition, you will be asked to vocalize and to sight-read a portion of a choral work. The sight-reading will be a cappella.

Additionally, we ask that you prepare EACH of the following in advance to sing at your audition:

  1. One classical solo piece of your choosing (oratorio, aria, or art song preferred) that demonstrates your best vocal qualities.*
  2. Sing your part from this section of the following two choral works:

*An accompanist will be provided.
